WE SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE 16-25
C-Collective's programs are for young people who are going through 'tough times'. Tough times for C-Collective refers to childhood trauma (physical, sexual or emotional abuse) and the ongoing issues that often stem from these experiences (mental health, homelessness, addiction, criminal behaviour)
LANGUAGE IS IMPORTANT TO US
We use the term 'adversity' or 'tough times' because of the stigma associated with the above terms. Resilience needs a solid foundation and we want the young people we support to understand that everyone goes through adversity and with the right people around you and a lot of hard effort, everyone can make it through.
WHY ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
We often get asked "why help young people start a business if 90% fail"?
We love this questions because for us, this highlights everything C-Collective stands for.
We provide access to exciting possibilities that are lead by the young person, provide positive risk-taking opportunities and hands-on experience. Seeing the inside workings of a startup business provides insight for young people that develops genuine life skills and employability skills.
Our impact shows that most young people that come into our course discover that entrepreneurship is NOT for them. instead they discover an area of interest and go onto further education.
WE IMPROVE THE OUTCOMES FOR YOUR ORGANISATION
This program has been developed to enhance the outcomes of any organisation that works with young people who are struggling through tough times. If educational outcomes are important to your young people then we suggest that you get in contact because working together is when the magic happens.
THE BOSS
TOUGH TIMES
&
ADVERSITY
We do our best not use negative labels. 'Adversity' or 'tough times' are the words we use to describe the young peoples situations we work with.
Why?
Because resilience needs a solid foundation to build from. We don't encourage young people to think that their identity is the adversity that they have experienced or the struggle that that they are embarked on.
